Obituary of Anthony Funaro

Anthony W. Funaro of Deerfield Beach Fl, died at his home on January 26 2007 at the age of 83. Born in Brooklyn NY, July 11 1923. He was the son of the late Philip and Mary Dibiase Funaro. He was Head of Stock in GPO for the US Postal Service in New York City NY. He and his wife lived in Deerfield Beach for the past 8 years coming from Cooperstown NY. An avid sports fan he loved both the New York Yankees and the NY Mets. Mostly he enjoyed spending time with his loving family. Military He served in the US Army during World War II Memberships: Mr Funaro was a member of the American Legion of Milford NY. Survivors: His loving wife Josephine Funaro (nee-Salamone) were married July 4 1948, A daughter Marie Elsie Peters and her husband John of Belvidere NJ, two grandchildren, Matthew Anthony and Michele Nicole and many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews survive him. A brother William and two sisters Angelina “Angie” Locurto and Frances Amalfitano all preceded him in death.
