Obituary of Katherine Lundgren

Our Mother, Kay left this earth on Friday November 26th, 2010, with a smile, sparkle, and in peace. She was 86 years old. Her life, wisdom, breath, love, beliefs, happiness, joy, jokes, and gift of life and sharing will never be forgotten, by all who knew her. Her insight was endless. Her love, beyond imagination! She was born in Monticello, NY on July 3, 1924. She is the daughter of the late Edward Reilly and Mary Brunswick-Reilly. She and her husband, the late Carl H. Lundgren lived in Nyack, NY., moved to Lebanon Twp, NJ, raising her 5 children, Judith Thompson of West Virginia, Linda Lundgren of New York, Russell of Florida, Jeanye Blendermann of New Jersey and Ricky of New Jersey. Mom and Dad retired and moved to Venice, Florida enjoying the weather and many special friends. She will be sadly missed by her five grandchildren; Jessica, Jeremy, Jesse, Jarett, and Joel. Our mother worked at the Lebanon Twp School, North Hunterdon Regional High School and Voorhees High School in the cafeteria. She Volunteered for the PTA and Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice Foundation. She loved entertaining, bowling, reading, quiots, storytelling, and making people feel loved and cared for. She will be missed. In lieu of flowers donations in Katherine’s memory may be made to Compassionate Care Hospice Foundation, 532 Lafayette Road, Sparta, NJ 07871. Private Funeral Services will be private and held at the conveience of the family.. The family requests all condolences be sent to DeVoe Funeral Service, Inc. 136 West Washington, NJ 07882.
