Hello, Greg and I were friends in the fifties and sixties in Port Murray. I saw his note on Winny Cyphers obit. Thinking I might get to see him, I went looking on the web. Found his obit instead. I am so sorry to have missed him by so little time, since it is September 2013 now. My sympathy to Sandy and his folks if they are still living. I'll miss Greg along with all the great kids I knew in Port Murray, so long ago. Howard Teeple

I am so sorry to hear about Greg. I recognized his name immediately, of course. We were both in St. Joseph's Choir in Washington, both in Warren Hills, and there were many good times there. The choir was mostly made up of people our parents' ages (my parents were in the choir), and Greg held his own, a pleasant and intelligent person, and good singer. At the time, we disagreed politically and politely about Vietnam, and we both learned from each other, and we didn't let that affect our enjoying the music. I had written a column in the paper about the moratorium, and Greg had written a long and eloquent letter responding to it. I've lost my column, but I still have his thoughtful reply to it. I am so glad I knew Greg, and I send my prayers and good thoughts to his family and loved ones.
