Obituary of Anthony Ferri

Anthony Peter Ferri, 80, of Washington Township, NJ passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at Warren Hospital, Phillipsburg, NJ. Anthony was born May 21, 1928 in Stewartsville, NJ a son of the late Alexander and the late Anna (Santini) Ferri. He was employed by the BP Corporation as a Machinist in the chemical division. His wife, the former Marcella Howell Black and his stepson Henry Black predeceased Anthony. Two sisters Mary Anagnost and Lucy Buccini and a brother Joseph J Ferri also died earlier. Survivors: Anthony is survived by his stepson Melvin Black of NJ; a daughter, Virginia Austin of Huntington, CA; two grandchildren Staci & Geronimo two brothers, Cesari Ferri of Stewartsville, NJ and Mariano Ferri of Moravia, NY; a sister, Madeline Gouger of Columbia, NJ, many nieces and nephews; and his trusty dog, "Luckey." Services: Friends may call Tuesday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at DeVoe Funeral Service Inc., 136 West Washington Ave, Washington, NJ. A Funeral service will immediately follow at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will be Tuesday in the Stewartsville Presbyterian Cemetery, Stewartsville.
