Obituary of Rose Marie Freeman

Rose Marie Freeman went home to the Lord Saturday April 28, 2018 at Brakeley Park Care Center in Lopatcong Township. Born in Plainfield, NJ on February 13, 1942, she was the daughter of the late John and Rose Cecere.  She relocated 40 years ago to Washington, NJ where she worked at the local Shoprite for over 35 years.  A woman of great devout passion and faith she became a Secular Franciscan and participated in a Christian pilgrimage to Medjugorje in 1991.  She continued her service to the Lord and church as an active lecturer, Eucharistic minister and was a parishioner at Saint Theodore’s Roman Catholic Church.  

She was a loving Mother, Mimom and Aunt.She was predeceased by hers son William E. Freeman Jr, sisters Mary Gurczynski, Lucrezia Miller and Patricia Kinnaman.   She is survived by her son Patrick John Freeman of Philipsburg, NJ, grandchildren; Matthew, Ashley and great grandchildren; Mylie, Lux, Mya, Xavier and Jordan.  

The family thanks all that have been a part of Rose Marie’s life and have helped in so many ways over the years.

A visitation with family will be on Monday May 7th 2018 from 6-8PM in the DeVoe Funeral Home 136 West Washington Ave Washington NJ.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11AM in St Theodore’s Catholic Church Rte57 Port Murray NJ. Inurnment to follow in the St Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Washington NJ.
