Obituary of Dorothy M Ritzer

Dorothy M Ritzer, 94, formerly of Washington NJ passed away on Tuesday July 10, 2018 in the Warren Haven Nursing home in Mansfield Twp N.J.

She was born in Oxford N.J. November 2, 1923. She was the daughter of the late Emil and Ella Dalrymple Ritzer. Dot was a former Nurses Aid for the Visiting Homemakers in Washington N.J.

She graduated Oxford Central School and attendned Washington High School. She grew up in Oxford N.J. and attended the 2nd Presybertian Church of Oxford. She worked in the Oxwall and the Glass Factory before moving to Washington NJ. She then joined the 1st Presbyterian Church of Washington and worked in the former Tonsol Plant before becoming and Aid. Dorothy was a Avon Representative for over 25 years in Washington N.J.

She is survivied by a sister Kathryn Murray and her husband John of Stroudsburg P.A.. two nieces; Nancy Byerlee and Anne Murray, two nephews; Allen Schaarschmidt and William Schaarschmidt, and many grand nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she is predeceased by a brother William and his wife Helen, and a sister Mabel Schaarschmidt and her husband Oscar.

Funeral Services will be Firday July 13 at 11AM in the DeVoe Funeral Service 136 West Washington Ave Washington NJ 07882. The Visitation will be from 10 A.M. until time of Services on Friday. The Interment will follow in the Hillside Cemetery Oxford N.J.
