I had the privilege to play with and against Walt in the 1960s and 1970s in the Morris County Major Leagues and the Morris & Somerset League. Truly an authoritative figure. A master of strategy on the baseball field, R.I.P.
To his nephews and nieces: He was someone you could learn from. Played young mens sports into retirement. I cherish those days on the ball field.
