Obituary of Bertha Havens
Bertha Mae Havens, age 76, of Enfield, NC, formerly of Oxford, NJ, died Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at Nash General Hospital of Rocky Mount, NC.
Bertha was born October 23, 1932 in Oxford, NJ a daughter of the late Howard and the late Estelle (Simard) Smith. She was the wife of the late John Bell and the late Theodore Havens. Bertha enjoyed reading and was an avid bingo player.
Bertha is survived by two sons, James Bell and his wife Laura of Enfield, NC and John Bell and his wife Dawn of Rice, MN; a brother, Dennis Smith and his wife Paulette of Oxford, NJ; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husbands, Bertha is also predeceased by her sister, Pauline Smith.
Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Oxford on Thursday, September 3, 2009 at 2:00 pm. Arrangements are under the direction of DeVoe Funeral Service, Inc., 136 W. Washington Ave., Washington, NJ 07882.
