Obituary of Eileen Hoffmann

Eileen C. Hoffmann, 81, of Belvidere, NJ passed away on October 4, 2010 at home. Born: She was born on November 12, 1928 in Queens, NY, Mrs. Hoffmann was a daughter of Charles and Ida Hillert. Personal: She was raised in N. Hempstead,LI. She was a professional water ballet swimmer at Jones Beach, LI known as the ""Aquabelles"", and years later taught water ballet at the Belvidere Community Pool, Belvidere, NJ. She studied opera at Carnegie Hall in her youth and attended Virginia Intermont for voice. Mrs. Hoffmann was co-owner of H& H Pharmacy in Belvidere, NJ and Taylor Rental in Phillipsburg, NJ. She liked yarn hooked oriental rugs and was a member of the ""Happy Hookers"" of Belvidere, NJ. She quilted with her beloved husband and was an avid reader of Danielle Steel. Survivors: Her survivors include a daughter, Gail Kot and her lifetime partner Timothy Hy of Belvidere, NJ; and a son, Gary Hoffmann and his fiancé Debra Cleffi of Belvidere, NJ; two granddaughters, Rachael Clark and her husband Michael,and Kendra Hoffmann of Bethlehem, PA; great-granddaughter, Willow of Powhatan, VA. She is predeceased by her husband John 'Jack' Hoffmann, her sister Mae Sheridan and her granddaughter Rebecca Hoffmann. Services: Mrs. Hoffmann requested no service only fond memories in her behalf. Memorials: Contributions are welcomed in her memory to Compassionate Care Hospice 532 Lafayette Rd. Sparta, NJ 07871 and the Belvidere Ambulance Corps.
